Logomark
The logomark, in the form of the letter “a,” represents the gesture of taking photos: the lens focusing on the target and the hand pressing the shutter. The rectangular negative space within the logomark ties to the positive and negative duality concept in photography.
Typography
The layering of typography and graphic elements interprets the notion of light shedding on film to create photography. The high contrast between the serif and san serif typeface reinforces the duality concept.
Color Palette
The color palette of vibrant yellow and various shades of black pays homage to the travel of light in photography. Transparent materials highlight the interaction between light and printed artifacts.
Element of Time
Photography is the artifact of capturing a moment in time. The progression of the logomark’s circular structure emphasizes the element of time.
